Welcome to Athens, Illinois, Abraham Lincoln Long Nine Museum Historic Site. Visit the historic building that Abraham Lincoln visited on many occasions in his travels between New Salem and Springfield.
The building was constructed by Colonel Matthew Rogers in 1831-1832 and still stands today as a tribute to Abraham Lincoln.
The building has a radio station transmitting 24/7 on 88.9FM. Upon arrival tune in the talking building radio and listen to the 12 minute history of Abraham Lincoln visiting the building.
